There is no doubt that we have had some dry winters in the area over the last couple of years. Thanks to El Niño that is no longer a worry this year with about 68% of the seasonal snowfall at half-way through the season, we are on top of things. January alone had an amazing month of snowfall, bringing in 207 inches overall.
Lake Tahoe properties are driving distance to all major ski and snowboard resorts including: Boreal, Diamond Peak, Heavenly, Mount Rose, Northstar, Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows, and Sugar Bowl. Our resorts are loving the downfall as we have had 146 inches of snow in just the last three days, 10-15 feet of that only yesterday. Mount Rose is leading the pack with 39 inches from January 30th to February 1st. Diamond Peak following up at the end with 9 inches between those dates as well.
